New here!

Hi world of IE! I am new here, a little nervous and excited. Just wondering if you have any tips for someone venturing into this world for the first time…

@londonlady

“Ok so the subject of time wasters
Been on and off site over past year and basically no one has thought through actual reality of having such a relationship

Well if that's not a sweeping generalisation”

Yes, it is... I think so long as you both have ground rules, and you stick to them, you can have a fabulous relationship. I don’t see anything wrong with meeting up a couple of times a month, provided there’s regular communication.

It can be a bit of a minefield, so, be selective about who you open a conversation with. I try to steer clear of generic profiles, wherever possible, as they don’t actually tell you too much about the other person.

Be honest and polite... Build up a rapport and healthy conversation (as much as you can on this site anyway)... If you feel comfortable, you can move your conversation to a more conducive medium, like KIK... all things going well, then roll on the good times...!

"I love the messages that are chatty in general to start with not straight in to the nitty gritty"

Couldn't agree more!

I would say don’t push your ie to come off here and chat somewhere else, unless you’re comfortable doing so obviously. I love the messages that are chatty in general to start with not straight in to the nitty gritty 😂

Good for you.
Anyone sane would just be thankful and take precautions just in case ... he's taking unnecessary risks. Stupid.

He did start questioning me wanting evidence and asked for my password but I decided I wasn't playing along with him.

You've done all you can ... it's his problem that he doesn't believe you. What an idiot he is.

The important thing here is to make sure *he* doesn't figure out who *you* are!

If you recognise someone by their photo what should you do?
I tried to politely tell a fellow IE user that I did and actually knew his wife but he didn't seem to believe me!!!
