Is home more bearable when you have an IE?

Do you find you get on easier with your husband/wife when you're having an affair?

Serialencounter

Correct. I always knew. Most men here like to say my wife doesn't know ... actually they do but are not saying anything ... yet!

Provided that you are emotionally mature, in many cases it most certainly does. Sadly we are creatures who need excitement, flattering and indulgence in the ways of Eros.

Familiarity and complacency is without doubt, the enemy of sexual excitement and even though it is often possible to maintain a degree of mutual passion, for the main part, it is a reality that this can wither and all too often be the reason for otherwise happy people to part ways.

Right or wrong, if the ability to satisfy your inner self will help you to remain in an otherwise happy relationship, then there is definitely a logical reason for seeking to satisfy those heeds extra-maritally.

You might think so, but it's not without its inherent risks. Eg showing more affection than your partner is used to, raising suspicions etc.
Having an ie helps, but equally you are on alert against yourself.

Also there is condition of having two upset women to deal with, when only one might well have been the better situation.

So you create a new type of relationship with your partner. Vaguer, more distant and so on.

But most women have a good intuition and will know. You just havent brought irrefutable proof to the door so she doesnt have to act on it. Shes factored it in, for now.........

If the affair develops sexually then yes as that is generally the missing ingredient in the marriage, hence most say they don't want to change things but.............ie the sex is missing

For some people they do.

When my ex was having an affair he was always more nasty to me :-(

Yes, as I am not making unappreciated sexual advances towards her, she is surprised but not disappointed when her very occasional lukewarm sexual advance towards me is not
reciprocated.
