What's the best way to break the ice?

Any good conversation starters, or have any of you experienced any unique ones? Prey tell :-)

Ricky67999…

The sad thing it’s many guys don’t read women’s profiles so they go in all guns blazing 😉

Believe me I do but some men can't even remember what they had put in their profile and I get a "what are you talking about" or "what's that about" ... 🙄🤷🏻‍♀️

Definitely put something in the subject line which shows you’ve read the profile.

Show you have read the profile! I can't stand a generic 'hi how are you?' So often you respond and find they haven't even read tour profile they are just saying hi to everyone.

Honestly, it doesn't really matter how skilled you are at breaking the ice. Ultimately, it all depends on the mood of the person reading it. Sometimes a seemingly terrible icebreaker can work like magic, while other times a beautifully written piece can fall flat.

By the way, do you enjoy taking on challenges?

Confusing prey and pray is in itself quite a conversation starter - so what do you think about homophones then?

I read the profile, then select something of note and formulate a click bait subject line as that's the first thing a lady will see when scrolling her inbox. I want to show that I've read their profile and have found something that I can identify with or like. Then the main body of the text will expand on that.

Sometimes I'll have writer's block because if it is a threadbare profile but if someone can't be bothered with their bio they're likely taking the same ethos to affairing.

It is all hit and miss with timing being the key factor in finding your connection. Good luck - we all need it.
