I'm with ExoticOrchid on passwords...

I'm more than happy to give out my password if the gentleman is within a location that might make it feasible for a relationship and will give out my password even if it is just a 'thank you for your interest and out of fairness this is me'

If a guy is too far away and gets in touch, if he asks immediately I will shut him down and say he's too far away. However, if he engages me in polite chitchat, even if it just to say he saw me posting on here and is curious as to what I look like, I will happily hand over my password.

As long as I don't sense he's a collector then I will always share.

This is the first I have ever heard of this and I have been an observer on IE for a number of years already.

Could be the case that you fellows are only attracting the "professional or the promiscuous" members.

Exotic orchid

Chezley is making a reasonable point. We fellows find it time and again and across different membership periods.

"It's more often the professional or the promiscuous who ask for passwords early on"

Seriously???
That is a very insulting and sweeping comment you made.

IF I ask for somebody's password and they oblige, then I would be courteous enough to give mine in return, even if it is going to be a "thanks but no thanks" reply.

However, if someone sends a first message with his password included, then I feel under no obligation to give mine in return, especially if it is going to be a case of "thanks but no thanks" from me.

It's more often the professional or the promiscuous who ask for passwords early on. Recognition being essential to both predicaments.

Yes....happen quite a bit....you give pw...and then that's it. End of contact. Sometimes I think the woman are just being nosy...want to see but not reveal themselves....they probably have no intention of having any IE affairs.....just in here for the attention they get.

For a while I didn't ask for a password. As I didn't offer mine asap. The request for my password came early from women. Which became a demand in some exchanges. That annoyed some women quite a lot.

The expectation is that women be asked following a few suitable responses. The man is always expected to offer his first. Whereupon, success, silence, ghosting or blocking may follow.

Ha1234,

There are women here in their 70's - so maybe your mother or mine is here :-)
And good for them. May they get what they want.

@Secretaccomplice4u

Ummm....sister or wife maybe....but surely not mother unless you're still in your early twenties....
