I know I already gave my choice of fictional character, but I've had this one historical person on my mind ever since: Julian of Norwich. She was an anchorite prioress in the mid to late 1300s. Not only was she a celibate religious devotee, but as an anchorite she lived in seclusion, bricked up in her cell with just a slot for food. Talk about unobtainable.

She did, however, have some mystical visions that are still referred to today, and people still sometimes quote her famous line, "All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well".
