How to suppress the excitement?

I've met someone and we're a great match. We've been sneaking off to see each other and getting a buzz from the adrenaline. My question is, how do you suppress the excitement when you're at home? I get butterflies just from a text message and I'm walking around like a grinning idiot half the time. How do you tone down the glow up?

Just enjoy the feeling for as long as its lasts it can soon end affairs can come to an end very quickly or can go on for years just take it day by day.

These feelings are undeniable and difficult to contain in the early stages of a new relationship if the chemistry is right. The psychologists call this stage " Limerance" and its ephemeral.

Things will shortly settle down to something less intense but still very enjoyable and fulfilling.

Its one of the emotions that makes our short lives worth living, so enjoy it while you can, but don't blurt anything out to your partner that you might regret further down the line or do anything risky or silly while you are not thinking rationally.

Enjoy it ....not sure you can tone down the glow up, doesn't that depend on personality? The thing to watch out for is being unintentionally careless, the desire to read or send a text may lead to a mistake, and that's what you and your IE need to caution against ...

At the end of the day, being careful is paramount to safeguard both yourselves, thus allowing the affair to blossom ...

Don't be sorry ... I always think that when I read profiles where the men say " looking for the excitement, butterflies again" ... so that means they'll go on to the next one once these feelings wear off ... and the next IE and the next ... 🤔

I really don't think you should surpress the happiness. If it leads to a conversation then so be it, but don't deny yourself those butterflies xxxx I love that feeling xxx

Go to the gym on the way home and have a swim and sauna. Doesn’t matter what you look like when you get back then..

This is a tough one.....but you’re in luck because I’m something of an expert.

1. Wim Hof cold showers. Hot for 5 mins and then cold for 1, after which whatever excitement you’re feeling will simply shrink away (along with your penis - I actually had to look for mine afterwards)

2. Try to picture your wife AS the woman you’re sneaking off with - if you’re the type who struggles with imagination then try to persuade your wife to wear a mask and actually draw the other woman’s face on it. If your wife asks who the drawing is of, tell her it’s just from your imagination.

3. Certain foods are brilliant at suppressing sexual excitement. Tuna is amazing for this. Don’t just eat it: actually rub it on yourself until the thought of sex only conjures up the image of a fishing trawler.

Hope this helps.
