As debates go, this one is pretty pointless as it entirely depends on each individual person. Some people love being single and free. Some people love being part of a couple. Some people would prefer to be in a couple for the security, even if they miss the passion and excitement of a new relationship... some single people are not romping with a new partner every night. Everyone is individual and so there is no correct "answer" to this...

I'm single, happy and I'm just here to find a fun partner... I recon most married people are here because they are unhappy/lonely/frustrated...

I still believe marriage is the safe house that children need and most of us are mums and dads on here too. We aren't selfish brats. We are grown ups with unfulfilled needs. That fortress of love and security is our primary priority. It's why we stay. 'Happiness is temporary in any context anyway. As a grown up other needs often overtake our own Happiness.

But, by God, we need a break from the weight of it sometimes!

Single, if married people were that happy they wouldn't be on here looking to cheat on their spouse would they?
I'm Single very happy, don't want the hassle of a relationship so on here as it suits my needs. Single men are complicated.
So Single people are and those saying they are in a happy marriage, well you can't be if your on here

I'm not overly sure labelling people as either married or single is an accurate indicator of happiness.
Married people enter that agreement on a number of factors - some are identical to why single people remain so (lifestyle choice, for example)

From what I’ve read, it depends on your gender. Mean are happier married and women are happier single

With the advent of women’s lib/ emancipation, together with the massive increase in life expectancy marriage is on its way to becoming completely redundant. Life is for living- about experiencing flights of passion - CARPE DIEM!

When I was married and my husband was having affairs, he was not at all nice to me, in fact downright nasty, most of the time!

I wonder what the other halves of all these "happier at home" people have to say if they are asked!!! 🤔

My last IE said his marriage was better for him being with me aswell. Having your cake and eating it must be a saying for a reason
