I don't have this problem as a singleton BUT for those who do, you need to think about:

- what excuse you've given at home
- where you're meeting your IE

and be dressed accordingly ... you don't want to be all dressed up if your excuse is to go shopping or for a walk ... equally if you're meeting for a coffee at Costa [other coffee establishments are also available!] you're not going to be dressed up.

However, as already mentioned by Pip210 and Marsha below, there is nothing to stop you wearing fabulous underwear for the ladies and nice, clean ones for the gents!!!

If you can get away with it, you can always take the nice stuff and change somewhere once away from home.

From my perspective I have no preconceptions regarding what an IE wears. Let's face it, this is an affair after all and we all bang on about discretion like its some kind of policy.
I do agree with April2021s comments though cleanliness and decent undies - that includes us guys! (Although I only get the frilly webbing out on very special occasions!!!)

You maybe have to accept that you can’t always , delicious underwear though always , and everyone here whether married or not has to accept this . Always clean tidy and smelling gorgeous though
