Go! unless you feel like it's really going to affect your confidence and worry you all night.
If not, go, be honest, have a giggle over it, and if he doesn't have a sense of humour over it or it's enough to put him off then frankly he's pretty shallow and one to be avoided. If he can have a laugh too then there was no need to put the date off!

It's not too late to visit Boots and buy a fake tan eraser. Failing that, if you wish to cancel the date do it now and tell him the truth. If he is a decent gentleman he will laugh and tell you it doesn't matter - he is mature enough to see through fake tan disasters. What ever you choose to do - good luck.

Truth and logic speaks both truth and logic!

If you can't make a joke of it and have a laugh about it then...Well, for me it would be a non starter.

The I.E fantasy woman's really grinds my gears. Black pencil skirt, stockings suspenders, heels (in 25° heat - phlease!) Well put together, sleek hair. And the demeanour...coy, mysterious, cool. My life is more like an episode of Motherland. Constantly iorning out my curls, in this heat its like I stuck my hand in an electrical socket! Those fiddly fastens on the back of a bloody suspender belt have at times driven me to drink! Clearly, I do not fit the archetypal 'I.E' woman! But then, I wouldn't be interested in a man that wanted cardboard cut-out mistress. Real, and funny, and quirky are more attractive than a paper doll. X

Do you want a long term affair or just a hook up? if its long term if he can not see past that then it wont go the distance anyway, but a hook -up cancel its all about the look not who you are...its never as bad as us ladies think mind, bet he would not go to so much trouble.
