Not a big fan of Lube but if you need it then it's all good. It does reduce the sensation..like my mate ( male ) used to say ..its like throwing a stick up an alley..but there are plenty of other things you can do..its all about discovering your lovers likes and dislikes

I would 100 percent not be offended. Water based is my preference and please don't use too much as this can reduce sensation for both parties. Also there are plenty of fun lubes to play with so have fun experimenting.

I do have a thing for massage oil. Ooh la la!

I am a man at an age comparable to that at which women consider the use of lube. It has mostly advantages, and potential disadvantages. Male physiology changes with age as well. It takes longer to reach full erection, which leads to the obvious feelings of inadequacy mitigated by patience on the part of a lady and also by parallel female physiology such as the need for lubrication, which makes the aging process a commonly shared experience. And again, relieves a man's sense of inadequacy.
Secondly, if you're considering anal sex, it's almost always necessary for that anyway.
Thirdly, having it available and sharing that it's available with your partner takes the stress off you of having to get wet and being judged by how wet you get.
The disadvantage is that a lot of lubrication makes it more difficult to control premature ejaculation and reduces sensation in a similar way to a condom, but not as much.
