Only ever had two people I've gone on dates with. I had my suppositions as to why the first never open-mouth smiled, she had lived her 44 years hard!

Tbf, two years of intermittent searching and she still is the most straightforward and 'professional' potential IE I've communicated with.

I'd rather have less than perfect but committed and passionate than undecided but gorgeous.

I like men who wear clothing on trend without being a fashion victim. Like BHH says, anyone who dresses old 'like my Dad' it's an instant turn off. But no jogging bottoms and trainers.

A harsh topic, I feel, as I quite like people with individual tastes and style. However, there's surely no excuse for at least making an effort in terms of appearance, especially on a first date even though it might be just a getting-to-know-you coffee and a chat. Anything less I'd regard as a lack of interest at best, but more likely just disrespectful. In these days of video messaging should it really happen though?

I’ve had a couple of dates that got no further than me looking through the glass doors of where we were meeting.
Being mortified at what I saw.
Being annoyed by being lied to.
Walked away.
I did phone and explain why I wouldn’t be showing up.
You see… if you have lie about age, body type etc…. And your pics are well and truly out of date. Don’t expect me to TRY and be enthusiastic.
Harsh… yes. But one thing I cannot stand is a 🤥.
Especially on profiles. And believe me… there are a lot of “works of fiction” profile wise on this site.
Don’t get me started about location.
State you live in Glasgow. I expect you to live in Glasgow. Not Fife, Dundee, Aberdeen etc 🙄🤥🤷🏼‍♀️

I am a bit of creature of habit with my outfits but tend to go for what suits me - I love a flowy skirt and vest top for spring into summer.

I quite like the casual nice shirt and jeans combo for my IE - I have only once seen my IE in a suit when he had to go to a meeting before our meet - did look sexy.

Thanks both. I might consider looking for a spring date outfit. My dresses are either work dresses or going out dresses. But I’m so bored of jeans 😂

Depends on what we’re doing, and where. So it’s ranged from t-shirt, jeans and trainers to a dress/skirt and appropriate footwear.

Casual and heavenly smelling guys….yum! Dress like my dad which gives away the fact that the declared age has been altered, and it’s an instant no 😜
