Height?

A lot of comments on the forum from men state that women are looking for men over a certain height. It would be interesting to hear what height the husband's, partners and ex partners are of the females on here are/were for comparison and for clarity, if they can be totally honest?

The question specifically asks for the comparison in "height" between husbands/lovers/ex's and current IEs.

Height AllSorts. And I would be well justified in saying ‘Not for me’ if he was shorter.

The question actually asks people to compare husbands with lovers rather than just talk about the focus on height. In any case though, you marry someone because they have been proven to be secure and worthy of a long-term future together. You may well look for other properties in a lover, so it's not really a valid comparison.

EO nails it. Ladies, feel free to ask about min height etc. But don't complain when men find (whether through words or silence) your hip-to-waist ratio not quite in line with their preference.
It's simply evolutionary psychology at play. Both ways.

On average, women do prefer tall men and men prefer women with a low hip to waist ratio. This is empirically true and rooted in evolution. This is why, on IE and elsewhere, men lie about height, and women lie (I am sorry: obfuscate) about weight or body shape (pics with loose clothes or face only).
As usual, we guys have it easier. Women do like height, but also have a much longer list of desirable criteria than ours. Both physical (e.g. V-shaped torso; lean but muscular body) and not (e.g. self-confidence; humour). And are willing to accept trade offs much more easily than guys. You probably can't climb your way out of a 15-20cm height differential with a great body and personality, but less than, chances are you don't have a maximum operational altitude issue...
My advice: guys, no point whining about height (and ladies: ditto about hip to waist ratio). "It's their loss" - no dude, it's yours. We can't change our height but we can shape up, work on our personality, and if not, we can shut up

You make a valid point ... fair is fair so women who specify certain characteristics, measurements, etc should not then complain when men do the same. Simples! 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was just thinking out loud Becky, most of the things I post here don’t get through moderation so I was surprised to see it

I’m the same height as men who say they’re 6’1” (I’m 5’11”).
Not sure what a lot of people are looking for here, tbh. “Hi, I’m looking for a guy with a scintillating personality who makes me laugh. Can I have your pw please?” 😑
I’m pretty sure that if you’re hoping to meet Henry Cavill that he doesn’t hang out on this site, and if he was, would he be interested in you? At least give yourself the chance at happiness and at least meet someone before you blow them off.

It’s weird that height is so important when we’re essentially looking to be horizontal with someone 🤷🏻

Acceptable to who BC? If it’s not acceptable to you or unlikely to be to the woman you are hoping to attract then don’t do it! If you see no problem with it then why not? Would prevent you/some women from wasting their time 🤷‍♀️
