Yep totally … and if we all thought the same person was attractive we’d fighting over the same guy … I’ve only met 3 on here and although none of them are what would turn my head if I walked passed them, I liked them and their looks because I got to know them first… the chat/banter/flirt is more important to me, engage my mind etc

Beauty definitely is a personal thing. Attraction also works on personality too. It's that combination of the two that really counts.

I definitely think its in the eye of the beholder...
So many think they have no preference for looks - but they clearly do! To say 'looks are not important to me' should mean then there is no need to exchange photos if the mental connection is there then - no??

I think its a humanistic trait to be drawn to looks of one description or another - I'm hugely drawn to a bald guy, other ladies arent etc etc.

But it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me if they had hair - thats the difference I guess... we all are drawn to certain things just in different ways, and to different degrees.. major importance v couldnt care less!

This is shaky ground - as you say, beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder. One persons George Clooney is another persons Shane McGowan.

I’ve only ever seen a handful of profiles claiming themselves to be attractive. On one hand you might think that’s arrogance but then part of me thinks good on you for being so confident in yourself if you think that.

It most certainly is in the beholder … looks in a way are quite low on my list …. I basically want someone who is completely opposite to how my husband looks, surely that’s one of the points of escapism. I’m way more interested in how the man makes me feel, firstly in chat, does he make me feel sexy, wanted, desired and laugh. Then obviously when we meet we must get on talk loads have fun etc … that is sexy to me… I mean it’s not like we’re all in our 20s anymore with no flaws ….. everyone is beautiful to me
