Meeting my IE for the first time...

I am planning on meeting my IE for the first time. We have spent a lot of time talking and now we want to make things happen in person. Where can we meet? What hotels allow for 'day room' access?

Quite an old post this one, 2021 in fact.
I wonder if the original poster did meet up and what the outcome was?

Sounds like you really have something good going there! As you have wished it for yourself; long may it last!

I am so glad we had our first meet as a relaxed out door adventure doing what we both love. Now we have moved on, and we are planning to meet if our schedules align in London. I want to spend time with him but we have decided we will both keep our own separate hotel bookings (both will be there under the guise of work) and arrange to meet up (not sure I am comfortable about spending the night together still all quite new). So far things are heading in the right direction. I surprised him at work with a little care package (and a long mac think I might have blown his mind). I think with any meets just think of your safety and do not rush or be pushed into anything you are not comfortable with.

Somewhere for coffee and definitely somewhere public. I wouldn’t even entertain the idea of going to a hotel until I’d had a good few meets with them in a public place. As numerous other folk have already said, safety is paramount.

Coffee or a drink at a cafe/pub for an hour is plenty …you will know within the first 10 mins if you want to meet him again 😉…if not walk away ..

coffee first. and that is a bloke speaking

then hotel. dayuse very good but be ready to state your name when asked by the receptionist, and you may not have already given your surname to your partner in crime. Then the receptionist might ask if your partners name. That happened to me at the Premier Inn and I had to stumble pretend I'd forgotten it, which was highly embarrassing, the whole thing has a walk of shame tendency to be prepared to brazen that one out

Meet in a public place first before booking a hotel. Keeping safe is a priority.

A first meet in a hotel "day room" - good luck with that. You have not even talked with the person over a glass of wine, but you are already booking the Travelodge...

You haven’t asked for jumping into the sheets advice. But it may end up being a one and done if that’s the route you take. But there have been some great recommendations for booking a day room on here

A first time meet for me certainly wouldn't involve a hotel room, safety first.
