Do I reschedule?

I'm going on a first date (in about 15 years!) tomorrow. I've been so excited. I got my hair done this week and applied fake tan yesterday - and omg I've left it on for far too long, I'm horrified! Now I'm so nervous about meeting (I feel like I don't look my best!) - does it matter? Or should I reschedule? Help!

Don't reschedule, but keep a respectable distance from his white shirt. If he asks why, say you don't want to leave a bad impression. On it, not.him

There are differing ways of looking at this, and a first date means in reality you do not know each other properly. You can interpret a no show as they are making excuses and dont want to really do this, cold feet, Not telling the truth also is setting up the relationship with falsehoods from the outset which considering what we are all doing, my feeling is you should try to avoid that if possible here. Real life is already too complex. In reality though if you have been chatting and get on and then are open and honest and laugh see what the response is. You may be surprised and the person not care or happy to reschedule. Be honest though IMO

absolutely not and if you are even thinking about it makes you a proper person x just don't forget he's or she has chatted and wants to meet you .. only advice if it goes well don't leave fake tan on his sheets xx ild personally like that you went to all the effort x good luck

Depends ..... will your date appreciate that in making an effort you got it a bit wrong - if yes, then have a laugh and enjoy each other. If no, then they might not be for you.....

Those are a lot of ‘what’s ifs ‘…🧐…

How many times have I heard posts about first time meets and the OP turns up like a tramp…if you have a major drama just reschedule it …..yes you can make a joke about it …break the ice as below 👇 but if you feel good about yourself then the date is more relaxed ..not rocket science…

You’re worrying about negative "what if’s”

…what if it goes wrong, what if I don’t feel like it?, what if my tan streaks? etc

Try and focus on positive’s what if’s, if you insist on worrying.

…What if everything's fine, what if in 5 mins I just relax, What if we just get on really well, What if I actually have a lot of fun. What if I get a real buzz from it all. What if he really likes me. What if I really like him and it goes perfectly.

Make a joke out of it, be a great ice breaker

I would not reschedule, if he is worth it he will understand and you could laugh it off. Might even help break the ice. I am sure you are being over cautious and that you look fabulous

If it was me …I would reschedule the date ….I don’t use fake tan but if it’s applied correctly then it can look fabulous….but I have seen too many paint jobs that look dreadful…I am sure if you explained to your prospective IE that there is a GOOD reason ….maybe send a picture….then all will be ok…the more relaxed you feel about yourself will make the date better…..Happy fake tanning 😊

No you don’t reschedule, nobody is perfect and your date should appreciate you for who you are
