Judgement
We all have our preferences and should be able to state them freely, without judgement.
I wonder is
"Male height one of the key physical discriminators for women?"
Conversely, would it be acceptable for a man to be particular about dress size or weight and be able to ask that question as openly as women do about height?

Not really, there are very few members and of course fewer again in your specific area.

Well if you aren't being bombarded with messages, consider this another shot to add to your count. I love a tall woman, and you can still be the shorter one.

I couldn't tell you, same people in my neck of the woods. I don't look nationwide...

We all bend the truth about ourselves because we want to be accepted and dare I say desirable

Possibly a London/SE thing?
I completely agree. But then if we were all to start honestly listing our less desirable attributes, imagine the reaction!

Flipping heck, what women are you looking at?
It's all subjective really, even how we perceive ourselves. Whilst height is a number, so long as we're honest ( along with age), what one may see as slim might be seen differently by another. Unless it really puts you off the person you're getting to know, what does it matter if you are having fun and connecting?

Isn’t this why we fill these details in on our profile page?
I guess the descriptive terms of average, curvy etc are open to interpretation?
I’ve noticed that many women on this site are often quite specific about wanting a 6ft+ man in a suit and an executive vehicle.

Just the other week I was chatting to a lovely woman who had messaged me. What's interesting is I had approached her previously and been told I was too old, even though within her age range. I have no issue with being considered too old (or too short as has come from someone else). What it shows is that sometimes you have to be a wee bit more flexible to find the right match for you. As it turned out, when we exchanged photo passwords, I wasn't her type at all. I don't mind though and I hope she has gone on to find Mr Right, or at least Mr Rightnow...

I would say yes, coming from a bigger lady here I would hate a conversation to be going great then later down the line he finds out I'm bigger and he doesn't like it and it ruins a connection. I believe physical attraction is definitely just as important as emotional connection. You can fall for someone emtionally and if not physically attracted to them it can end in heartbreak the same goes vica-versa or whoever it's spelt. X
