About Me:

I am in my early fifties, but I am much younger in both my appearance (at least so I am often told) and my general outlook on life. I am a dynamic figure, often seen scaling walls or piloting bicycles up steep inclines with unflagging speed.

I did used to have a fully visible profile photo - but as seems to be customary, I have pixelated it now. The only messages that I ever received off the back of it were from ladies asking me if I knew that my photo was visible. So I have pixeleted it - which should prevent any further messages of that sort - and now everyone including life's omnipresent busy-bodies can all be happy again.

I enjoy fine wine and good food, socialising and travel and had a fabulous two week holiday in Sorrento back in August. Including UK based breaks (and I am not quite finished yet for this year) I will be getting away nine times in total. Guernsey next at the end of the month!

I have been with the same employer for over 19 years (in various technical roles) where I have a decent, well-paid job and I am mortgage and debt-free. I am am engineer - but I am not on the spanners - basically I do hard sums for a living.

I am meticulously clean, but not vain (honest!)

I am thoughtful, empathetic, considerate, at times vulnerable and an active listener.

I still try to keep in shape, but time, work, family commitments and old sporting injuries have a habit of getting in the way a little too often. So in reality I fluctuate between leaning a little towards "Dad-bod" and almost being in shape these days.

I am happily married (together for over 32 years and 21 years married now) and would like to keep things that way. We are warm, kind and affectionate with each other - best friends if you like - but sadly there is no physical side to our relationship any more.

So I am somewhat conflicted by being on here, but a man has needs!

Ideal Partner:

First and foremost, you will need to have a sense of humour - not necessarily a good one - but you will need one.

I am looking for a partner in crime for exciting meets, dinner dates, stolen mid-afternoon moments, lively conversation and whatever that may lead to. The ideal scenario would be regular but infrequent meets with just one special person - perhaps twice a month so as not to arouse any suspicion at home.

For me, attractive means a well presented woman who is confident in her own skin. I believe that beauty truly is where you find it (thanks Madonna - from Vogue 1990) so I don't really have a "type". An older lady with a few feminine curves in all the right places would be absolutely perfect.
