About Me:

Thank you for bothering to read this. I am pleased to meet you virtually.

I live in Cambridge and will travel within a certain radius of Cambridge and Norfolk, Suffolk where I work. May also entertain the NorthWest where I have family 😊

I started as a biochemist and moved into industry firstly as a scientist and then as a business manager.

What are my interests? I like listening to all sorts of music including soft Rock (dire straits, police, talking heads) Classical or a small amount of jazz (Dave Brubectk & Paul Desmond on sax). I play the piano and guitar badly. When I have more time I will restart again.

I like watching movies snuggled up on the sofa or holding hands in the cinema. I am used to watching romcoms but like some action and detective mysteries. I am romantic, kind and fair to all women in my life. I like to watch some football on TV (as a boy from Manchester, I support Man City) as well as Rugby. I have 2 grown up kids and 4 grandchildren. I have a treadmill at home and I am back using weights. I want to join the gym again. My aim is to tone up and get a 4-pack within 18 months.

I am a scientist by training and have a degree and PhD in biochemistry. I have worked 30+ years in industry largely on the business side for 5 biotech companies. I now have moved into the academic sector again on the business side. With various jobs I have travelled widely internationally (Japan, USA etc a lot of times).

With more than 30 years experience in business development I have met a lot of people. I have travelled significantly. I lived full time in Asia 7 years and half time for a further 3 years and have been to the US and Japan frequently. I am good at small talk and friendly. I may even make you laugh.

I like dining out and red wine though I am alcohol free for Lent and have a £50 bet with my daughter to see we don’t cheat.

On the softer side, and over the last 20 years, I have changed my view and started to like cats. We have had 5 Balinese or Siamese cats which were all beauties and with their own character. Sadly these cats are prone to weird diseases and all have gone to cat heaven.
