About Me:

I love the word "encounter"; it conjures up images of two people unexpectedly finding each other in a European capital city with grand architecture, parks and hideaway cafés, all caught in a black and white film; chance put them in the same place, they saw, they both liked what they saw and had not even been hoping or looking for someone, but they knew, they just knew, something huge had started.

I don't dislike the word "illicit"; some illicit entities are bad and some are good, and some are in a hinterland that at earlier stages in life we did not know existed and could not see ourselves in. But illicit is where we are now, however we got here, and the tricky but rewarding part is to be the best version of who we can be in this world that many will not acknowledge, let alone explore. But you and I did acknowledge it and are exploring it.

Where do these two coincide? In the film, they coincide in momentous scenes, visually direct, grand, with words and looks skillfully crafted with poise and a powerful sense of fate moving. In our real lives, they can coincide in subtlely and respectfully finding a way of being the person for the other person, of course in balance with what else is in our lives.

My illicitness is at the thin edge of illicitness, separated, divorcing, domestically extricated and in my own place. I could openly be on a full colour CGI blockbuster regular dating site, but I don't see the point; the more interesting, daringly different characters will not be found there. They will be found, if anywhere, right here in the black and white film we envisage.

I am not at all a football, cars and golf type of man. I guess I am generally described as intelligent, energetic, outdoorsy; you are likely to find me up a mountain, on skis, on the bike, immersed in a book, kicking thoughts around my head to see where they go, or often with a mug of coffee in my hand ploying adventures or refining my cooking skills, or just often out in the fresh air doing not much..... in that park in the black and white film in our heads....

Ideal Partner:

You are not a shopping list of must do this and cannot do that, must like this but not that. It is more important that our values and thoughts on the illicit world align than a list of things we do. Passionate about whatever it is that fires you up, a thinker, a person who does rather than delaying, a person who believes rather than just speculates, a person who wants an open unscripted adventure, to see where it goes.
