About Me:

Hello!
I’m new to all of this but here goes….
I am a slim, healthy, positive woman who has enjoyed an amazing career in healthcare and has lived a wonderfully fulfilling life so far.
I was born and raised in the Midlands and have lived in Leicestershire, Rutland, Devon, Channel Islands and Northamptonshire. I don’t have children but do have dogs (and previously cats).
I enjoy rural living, travel - near and far, warm water sailing, scuba diving - but not recently, horse riding - also not recently!
I am typically, initially, shy but a chatty and happy soul once I get to know people. I very much enjoy being in the company of likeminded people.
I gain pleasure from travelling, experiencing diverse scenery and cultures, from bustling cities to remote islands.
I have a bucket list as long as my arm that is presently on hold, but I’m determined to work my way through it when I can.

Which brings me to the present, sadly my husband has developed young onset dementia and is now in the later stages, we both initially gave up work to make the most of the quality time we had available to us, now I am his carer. My world has shrunk, my role as wife has morphed to carer, but I know that keeping myself well and engaged in the world outside the house is vital to allow me to successfully care for my husband.
My role as carer will be finite and life will change again at some point in the not too distant future but for now I am seeking someone to help me feel alive again, to remind me that I am more than a carer, someone to laugh with, to share moments with, to have a connection with. I have a gentle, caring nature but with a sense for adventure and excitement that I would like to share with someone similar.
Hence dipping my toe into this particular pond!

Ideal Partner:

This is quite tricky as I don’t believe I have a ‘type’, but qualities I admire in a man are curtesy, kindness, positivity, easy going and quick to laugh. I am assuming that being discreet goes without saying.
Shared pastimes can be a positive but so can different ones as it’s good to be exposed to new experiences.
Must like dogs!

I guess I may well add to this as I begin to better understand how the site works and what is expected.
