I do strongly believe that monogamy is over rated. I find love making is different to the more raw sex of an affair. I like the fact that he doesn’t know I cheat, I enjoy the thrill of it. It’s my secret, a little bit of life that’s just for me.

Just need to find my next one, which isn’t easy in the current times. Even a kiss could be 6 months away from being possible.

But as you asked...I expect we all have our own back story..for me my wife's mojo when (talking through it just caused her anxiety).. and YOLO, didn't want all the unnecessary collateral damage of divorce and met and made a couple of great friends. Oxytocin is great, and I love to share that intimacy with someone.

I am happy with my wife even in the lockdown and sex is amazing. But that feeling of meeting someone new, new voice, new smell, new everything, is thrilling. Also there is an internal satisfaction/fulfilment knowing I am having affair and she does not know and sex is even more amazing. What I do not do is bragging to my friends. Here is where the respect comes, it would be humiliating for my wife to go around and brag about my affair like is a kind of trophy, maybe to one very trusted friend only. Besides whoever shouts "I am a king" probably he is not...

For all the age old reasons that adultery has occurred throughout history.

Hypergamy probably being the main undertaking for women. With men standing by ready to take on the branch hopper.

We all have our own reasons but surely there are themes that fall more frequently within the male female domains. There will be a lot in common. Biological determinants of polyamory are always an excuse, it's in my DNA. Mostly it's about seeking out a soothing oxytocin producing activity to calm us in these times. Particularly if we feel that soothinng is missing
