What's the best way to break the ice?

Any good conversation starters, or have any of you experienced any unique ones? Prey tell :-)

Simple hi along with a comment to suggest you have read the file is enough or do we have to make it intriguing ?

im reading all the messages with a smile and agree mostly with the ladies ..even thougth we are on IE ..ladies still want to be treated as such and believe me by being yourself and respecting all ..it works wonders basically dont be hasty or act desperate there is someone for you ..just use the right words

I’m thinking there’s a business opportunity here in tailor-made profiles.....I’ve written a couple that have worked for girlfriends....as well as some template first messages for blokes!!! 🤣🤣

I still completely stand by the comment I made on this thread at the end of May.
However now I’ve read a lot of the comments posted on this thread since then I‘d like to add, MEN, DO NOT BE A KNOB! What you’re typing as your first message to a potential IE, and finding it the funniest thing since Peter Kay discovered garlic bread very likely will result in the eye roll from hell and an immediate filing into the ‘twat’ folder from the recipient (yes, we all have one). No ‘funny’ off the cuff comments. Plan, plan and plan again your first message. Read the lady’s profile and try to relate to it in some way. Be gentlemanly.
As I said before, be what she’s asking for on her profile!
But above all else, don’t be a twat.

If you struggle with a first message how on earth are you going to build up a long lasting rapport with someone. Its really not difficult to read someones profile and ask a silly question that would raise a smile and a prompt a reply.

Absolutely no vks or gifts. Yak!

@scarlett914 good for you!! There are some interesting types on here!! So would you respond to ‘Hey Scarlett, so how’s your Tuesday going so far?’ 😊

I can tell you what not to write! I recieved a message from a guy yesterday basically asking if I was "aiming"to act like a prostitute because of my name!! I offered him some free advice and wished him luck on his search 😂

I find that the best ice breaker is a Piolet, I believe Amazon have a good selection.

The computer generated profiles are an utter waste of time as far as I'm concerned. They tell nothing about the person and are full of nonsense.

e.g. "People say I have brown hair, blue eyes and kinda medium build"

People DO NOT SAY, things like that. They are facts. So why not say, " I have brown hair....... etc.

Also " I'm a fan of XYZ band so you won't find me listening to ABC band"

What is that all about??

Please, please, write something about yourself, to let the reader know something worthwhile. Draft it on paper or on your pc or laptop, then copy and paste. Then delete in your pc / laptop so it's not discovered!

Then perhaps someone will "break the ice" with you.
