I paid yesterday because i booked it. My bank transactions easier to hide than his. He brings cash to reimburse me.
Also means i can get to the hotel first and check in.

Im not going to quibble about £50 when i get more than enough from him in gifts, meals, drinks etc

If we’re all about equality, surely there should be a split........ Unless someone else is the high earner and can afford and insists. I always offer to go halves, but the man declines, therefore I bring the condoms, alcohol and snacks.

My previous IE used to pay the hotel bill, but I would always bring wine, procsecco, champagne & picnic snacks as we never left the room (we used to meet in the day mainly and had the odd overnighter)

Call me old-fashioned or just old but I seem to remember when taking girlfriends out, that I would pay and not question it. Unless the lady absolutely demands to contribute I don't see what has or should change?

I understand what you say, and to, some degree agree, but lets see if your principles hold true if your imaginary "Wonderful woman " wanted vintage champagne a la carte fine dining and overnight stays in the executive suites of 5* hotels three times a month!

If you are the kind of person who is worrying about who pays the hotel bill, when you’re about to have a great shag with a wonderful woman, then good luck meeting a wonderful woman.
