Social IE

I never realised how much I craved going out and meeting new people, IE helped me achieve that. Dating again, after years of matrimonial unbliss, has helped me reclaim my social life and made me become a happier person,  made me more spontaneous and frankly, more relaxed.

I agree. I’m a social butterfly.. I love meeting new people and if I meet someone I click with then even better.. 😉

I agree. I've been off the site for a month but I'm back at least for a while. I like the like-ninds you can chat to on here!

Teresa Di Vicenzo- you and me both! My husband is working from home for at least the next year!! Drives me mad, thankfully he knows I need a huge amount of "alone time" so it's actually made it easier for me to go and meet IEs because now I don't have to worry about being home before he gets in from work etc, he is fully expecting me to be off getting my alone time elsewhere now he's working in the house 🤣

I agree with all that’s been said before. This branch of my social life definitely makes my spiky corners less so. Having stuff to look forward to is very lovely. Being locked in with my husband has driven me mad! I’m irritated he’s come home today saying he’s going to be working from home again for the foreseeable future. You may hear of a woman arrested for the murder of her husband very soon.

In response to Unicorn Hunter, I couldn’t agree more with what both Devon Pixie and ExoticOrchid have said, meet as soon as you feel safe. Obviously meet in a public place and make sure someone knows where you are. An alibi friend is essential, and whether it’s a ‘real life’ friend, or a same sex IE buddy, it really doesn’t matter.

Absolutely ... also the early exchange of pics ... that's why I'm never offended by password requests ... no point wasting time.

Unicorn Hunter- ASAP if you chat too long you will build up a mental image of the person you are going to meet and the reality may be very disappointing. Meet as soon as you feel is safe, and then you'll know then whether there is a spark to take things forward.

I’m currently 9 days into 14 of quarantine and yes I’m counting!! I REALLY miss going out right now and the perks of meeting a lovely lady would be nice icing on the cake 😋

As a newcomer, I'm inquisitive (and in need of some guidance / hand holding!) At what point do Ladies decide to move from virtual chats to meeting a potential suitor face to face?

I also agree, I am essentially a people person. Since I joined in June I've been on a lot of socially distanced dates, mostly in parks, and they have all been nice. The conversations have been wonderful, people are so interesting. And the pubs being shut was a bonus because it lead to picnics.
