" I have been trusted with a few secrets over the years and there is no way I would spill the beans. I’m not even friends with one of them now, but I still wouldn’t tell her secrets."

Yes but that's you ... can you say the same about that friend if you had trusted HER with YOUR secrets???

@SuzanneFoxwell - you've really made me laugh... sounds like you're briefing an SAS team that's about to go behind the enemy borders!

(Like the name too!!)

I disagree. I have been trusted with a few secrets over the years and there is no way I would spill the beans. I’m not even friends with one of them now, but I still wouldn’t tell her secrets. If I can do it, I’m sure others can. It’s all down to personal preference, what works for one may well not work for another...and as we know there are plenty of flakes in here

bad idea. friends always crack under close questioning. come up with something plausible and keep it vague enough not collapse under scrutiny

I wouldn’t trust anyone to be my alibi !!!
If your having an affair you need to plan & be prepared!
I’m single .. so can please myself . Which is fabulous 😈
However none of my friends know about my secret life of IE and it’s staying that way !

If at all possible, it is best not to rely on anyone else for an alibi ... we've done this topic before ... you can fall out with even your bestest friend ... why risk someone else knowing your secret ... the only exception would be someone else doing the same thing although that too can be risky ... as has been said by some here, find an excuse which doesn't involve confiding in another person.

Thankfully I'm single so I don't need an alibi. However, it still doesn't mean I will tell any of my "real life" friends about my IE life. I have friends I will trust with my life BUT not about IE.

I work for myself so no work colleagues!
And my friends don't know about my life of IE and probably wouldn't approve!

It’s way too dangerous to use someone else as an alibi. My work takes me to different locations around the UK, but mostly into London, where my clients are based.
Meetings always overrun... dinner is usually called for and invariably drinks will be had, requiring a hotel to be booked, so I always plan in advance.
