To be fair to all those not happy with their other half's choices, some really find it very difficult to think of nice presents, especially when no hints have been dropped. Also, it's harder if in a long term marriage/relationship and all possibilities have been exhausted.

I was married for over 20 years and in the later years, I bought what I wanted (on his card), wrapped them up and told him I've done the hard work for him ... viola ... both parties are happy ... simples! 😉

My husband wrapped a bottle of gin and some Turkish delight in the box our iron came in. I didn’t realise at first and really though he had bought me another iron the same as we already had. I didn’t get the joke!!!
I had suggested a cordless screwdriver though and would have been happy with that though!!
