You are not alone in that sort of experience. I had an affair a few yrs ago where she was soooo keen to meet. Then, after a lovely day out with lots of hand holding, kissing, cuddles etc, we parted and made promises to meet again asap. I thought it was all going swimmingly but i never saw her again. She did keep in contact for a time afterward but when pressed to meet, i got fobbed off.
As others have said, move on if the other doesn't give it back to you. We are here for relief from what we have, lets not duplicate what we are trying to find relief from..... indifference, coldness, not listening, blah, blah blah. Life gets shorter each day.

Also, IE is a broadchurch ... each to their own ... just don't confuse one's own case with the majority's.

We all have other lives , but would hope the person would want to keep in touch.
Its nice to get that random message just to know you are being thought of, communication is a two way process but if it doesn't work both ways then maybe it's time to move on

In our society its still the men who are expected to initiate the first contact and therefore usually do so and usually women who control if and how things evolve and the pace of the relationship after that.

It would be very refreshing if it were not like this.
