Hotels

I'm relatively new to this world.

1) Any tips for booking hotels in London
for a few hours?
and
2) What's the general norm regarding paying for the
hotel (does the man foot the bill or is it split between the two)?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that Bacchus's comment was light hearted and not to be taken seriously.

Been doing this for a while and tried many different things.

Dayuse definitely works the best and in my world the man will pay for the room, I make this clear up front, before any meets and then it is their choice to take things further or not.

@Bacchus111 It is bizarre that anyone would even suggest that "they" are trying to get people to use less cash just to catch out people on IE... Just imagine running a hotel in the 2020s and still pvoding a huge daily cash float to the front desk. Not going to happen. Get yourself an extra card if you need it.

I meant my IE has always paid for the room 😊

I normally do Dayuse and 12pm Travelodge as well, but depending on your arrangements, you could do the usual 2-3pm check in anywhere. Some hotels also do evening Dayuse which is handy for after work meets.

Can’t speak for anybody else, but my IE has always paid for the next sale

Have used day use, and travel lodge, which has check in at 12

Some women like going halves with the cost, which is nice.

As someone else mentioned, you can't seem to reserve online, then pay cash on check in anymore, so be extra careful if your wife/ husband checks your spending !!!

My advice is use PayPal if you can (unless the other half checks your account). Also I use dayuse website for day time encounters - very useful as you can get rooms from 10am-5pm if that's how you set up your arrangement.

Hi Magic Mouse, I totally agree about paying for the hotel in cash but there are so many now that don't take cash.
It feels like the whole world is conspiring to catch us out.

I am happy to pay but hate when I have in the past had conversations along the lines of... 'can I see you xxx, oh and remember I paid last time'.

If I am organising to see you, I will arrange and pay for all. Big ick when they're organising a meet up but a £40 travel lodge is a stretch. Especially when you organise and pay for something better on 'your turn' and have the cheek to make comments of that nature.

I am not high maintenance in the slightest but definately a turn off.
