More attentive?
I get that feeling of freedom of doing something in secret and knowing that those around me couldn't believe I could do something like having an affair. The draw of that sensation of the knot in your stomach caused by the butterflies causing havoc and the knees wobbling is hard to resist.
I feel because of this I am a little more attentive to those around me... Can anyone relate?

Why is it a temporary fix? I had an affair for 10 years. It ended for health reasons on her part with her family. So she had to move away. I do believe we would still be together now. I know if you meet the right person who has the same mind set and situation, that an affair can't be so much more and last for as long as you both wish. I'm only interested in long term. Listening to people on here they seem to believe an affair is a short thing. I believe fora successful long term affair you need full trust and constant contact between actual meets, lots of understanding on each others situations. I feel more people want a quick fix and move from affair to affair, rather than from finding an affair or a relationship that can last. There's so much to get from, from a lasting meaningful relationship.

It does make you feel ‘complete’ …but you have to remember having an IE is like an extra support network…it’s also highly addictive…enjoy the hot times together but stick to your boundaries…always think it’s a temporary fix and you have to go home until the next time ..
You will feel less anxious and therefore you seem to cope better with your home life as long as you can separate it..

The thought of doing something 'illicit' that perhaps no-one else but your partner in crime (see what I did there?😊) knows about is quite a turn on. Even to the extent that thoughts about what has, or might happen brings a smile to my face at the most inopportune moments! "What are you smiling at?" can be a very difficult question to answer at times!

Well I've heard many saying it makes them whole again...
Although I believe I can offer a lot (funny, good looking, kinky in bed) according to the amount of messages and likes I get, it feels like I won't find my IE here.
I want to have that whole / excitement feeling again

I am always happy, however, since meeting my IE, I now feel completed.
I feel the butterflies in my stomach every time I see him.
I am as attentive to those around me but feel much happier within myself.
I never knew a year ago when I joined this site that fate would bring me a wonderful IE.

Don't get invested with people on here. It's easy as an empath to get drawn in. There are also plenty of lost souls on here that are more than willing to draw you in.
Try and switch it off and remember you're here for your own satisfaction, not someone elses.
Eventually/hopefully you find a like minded person with who that satisfaction can be shared.
You'll probably make some friends along the way, but never forget why you're here.
All that said, we want a report on the most awkward dinner possible from this evening please:-)
