A bit of a long story, so bear with me.
Before I retired, I was on another site and got chatting regularly to a divorced lass up in Chorley but, sadly, never got a chance to meet.
I used to commiserate with her over her two daughters' lack of consideration, especially over her wanting to have a sex life!
After a while we lost touch.

Some 5 or 6 years later, after retirement, I had a couple of auction purchases to pick up so used the chance to do a few days camping in my van.

First pick-up was a bit South of Chorley so afterwards drove there to see what it was like. It was market day and lo & behold, guess who I recognised!
I said "Hello, I think I recognise you," and asked if she minded a couple of crazy questions which confirmed it was her.

The upshot was the shared pot of tea and sticky bun I'd promised her years before and a really good chat.

I have not as yet had that happen but it is always a possibility. My IE and I live about 30 minutes form each other and tend to try and meet in neutral places. Places where we can be a couple and people will not know us or care. There is always the possibility that we could meet outside of that with our regular partners and I would hate to ignore her. We have talked about how it could be we would say hello if with other partners and wander on but we think the best way is to try avoiding it. As far as possible.

This makes me think we need to get that excuse worked on better.

How many life’s do people lead…

Home life, work life, secret life,,,, makes you wonder… everyone has a secret.

Personally meeting someone local would be awesome, as long as you stick the the rules of engagement.

It’s the excitement of your secret life that makes you realise what you need.

I have been approached on here by someone I know…from church. Part of me really, really wanted to respond because they are absolutely delightful…but too much potential to be a car crash!

I think one should consider illicit life as ones professional life... Don't mix it up with your personal life. If you see and old affair of yours don't be weird just treat as nothing. Give importance to others personal life just as you would like yours. Also read the room.

Yep. Petrol station when heavily pregnant approx 8 months after ahem, spending some time with him. And no, it wasn’t his baby! Phew. Might explain why he never responded to any of my texts after that though…
