How important is a good profile name and photo..?

Have you dismissed a potential IE on the basis of a terrible user name and
a profile photo? I know I have, maybe I should have given them some friendly advice?

I sometimes wonder if I miss out by being too picky on a profile.
I tend to skip profiles that are auto generated,
Or say nothing about the person and just want tall dark and handsome and want to be spoilt.
Instantly reeks of gold digger to me.

In my opinion, both a name and profile picture can be overcome. After all, I am not looking for a life partner so I’m not taking on his name.
However I cannot accept a copy and paste of his profile as his first message. That just screams lazy to me.
Everything else I can forgive.

Damn, I’ve got the butler. I was thinking Jakes Bond but now I’m going to change it :)

I thought the same thing about BigTitsBrenda :)

The moment I see the automated profile responses I ignore or block. There are too many fake profiles, often generated by the company to push memberships, and it doesn’t take a minute to write something no matter how simple.
I always read through a personal message and send a VK or VM as a way of showing appreciation:)

I guess I’m too far north to even get to the rejection stage 😂

I am new to this, finding it overwhelming at first, but within a few days I no longer message a woman if their profile appears to be software generated, for example when it says I prefer Mamma Mia to Star Wars! Or work by day and batman at night… What's that all about?
I think that some language in the profiles is sketchy and subject to personal interpretation. I also would like to see at least a pixelated image, so I can see if the lady is real, and I have also received radio silence when I have asked to swap password protected photos. I think I was expecting more from IE to be honest.

Not so much the profile picture. I quite like the mystery of it all to start with.

It’s the automated biographies that bother me. If you can’t put the effort in to write something interesting about yourself, then how can you expect anyone to make the effort to read it?

Your bio is your first impression. Make it count. Doesn’t have to be war and peace, just your own work.

Having said all that, I hope my own write up is well received by whoever looks in the future. I could be way off the mark! 😂

I am a fab of a least one photo to be available, even if it is with a pw. I do find it a little disheartening when I have had a good conversation exchange and swop a pw and then radio silence.

I am not ugly at all and I do realise that beauty is in the eye of beholder but a simple no thanks would be nice.

Willing to show my face to anyone who asks! Such a shame a photo cannot carry your personality and other traits..

Ah well I am a big boy so I will carry on and see what happens
