How important is a good profile name and photo..?

Have you dismissed a potential IE on the basis of a terrible user name and
a profile photo? I know I have, maybe I should have given them some friendly advice?

The username would have to be really bad for me to dismiss them that quickly.
I'm much more likely to make that decision after reading their profile (I don't like auto generated ones - if you seriously want to do this, put some effort in) I prefer to swap passwords early, there does need to be some degree of physical attraction, but a really good profile and an opening message that shows they've read my profile, catches my attention and makes will laugh, will always be in the forefront of my mind when viewing their 'photos.
A less immediately attractive man (obviously only my opinion as to his attractiveness) will be far more appealing to me than perhaps someone I'd usually consider more attractive if I saw them both on a night out.
My friendly advice to all the men out there, you get back what you put in (figuratively speaking obviously)

I can't say I'm bothered about the name unless it's SuckMyCock or some crap like that... but yes on a bad pic, but that's based on opinion and what you are and aren't attracted to? X

Well I guess if someone googles Alan Smithee, in hindsight it probably wasn't the greatest idea...

If I were a chick, any bloke using the description ‘sporting an athletic body’ would be a dirty great red flag as I’d image he’s the sort to wear driving gloves and be called Malcolm

I have always struggled with this.My name is a nickname given to me when I was 18 but tells you nothing about me.You would need to get to know me more to know what it means. I would hope the name is to suggest something but it is the picture and profile that is more important personally. Having said that unless you have your own one then so many different but the same avatars tell you so much. I am not sure though that the public profile and picture are any more than a taster that is suggestive but really if I am wrong what should it be. The profile surely matters more

Mine was a mistake and it did (nearly) put off a couple of ladies that contacted me and no doubt put off some others.

I'd signed up here originally out of pure curiosity rather than actually expecting to partake, once I'd paid I then realised I should have chosen something more fun and playful.

Ultimately something that isn't outright offensive, off putting or seeming boastful (which I guess is where mine falls) seems to be the right way to go.

User names that imply slutty / sleeps about or arrogance or in need of actransactional relationship are off-putting.

EG those saying she loves the finer things in life and being spoilt/ treated like a lady. I mean really? Surely the majesty of a sublime sexual relationship is what this is about, not plodding round Knightsbridge buying thjngs?

As long as its not offensive, its all good.
Why bother in small details. Surely best way to make a quick judgement is to meet the person....

Teper -

I look for any possibility of attraction first.
