Usernames and pictures don’t bother me in the slightest with exception to ‘hunglikeahorse’ that’s just pathetic. The biggest turn off for me are lazy profile descriptions. Like ‘hello’ especially if you’re paying for membership at least pull your finger out and put down effort into selling yourself. Generic profiles and half completed ones get ignored from me. State who you are. What you’re about. And tell us what you like/want from a potential partner in crime. Otherwise it’s a nope from me.

I don’t give a toss about the username.
Why would anyone with a brain do so ?
Now the photo is a different thing altogether and who would anyone with a brain argue with that ?
As you can probably tell I’m a black and white kind of person !

I have to laugh when I see an incredibly long profile name, and think how long it must take them to log on!
For myself, I’m more likely to view a profile if the person has a unique profile picture rather than yet another generic girl-on-a-bike, but it’s probably marginal.

No, a corny username can be funny.

Pictures can be misleading - many of us look considerably better in person.

I think it is important to move quickly to meeting up - an exchange of monologues on here, or on any other App and a handful of 2D images doesn't give a real impression of what it is like to be with the person.

What's in a name, I don't look at someone's name and think phwar, if they are in my area (a seeming rarity) and are in my age range, I'll take a look and see if they have an interesting profile.

A username (good or bad) doesn’t influence my decision at all.
However I generally skip past anyone that hasn’t bothered to write their own profile.

Absolutely yes.

I'm less dismissive of a photo, I would prefer to see who they really are.

But bad usernames are so revealing.

Inappropriate sexual names, in my experience NEVER ever live up to the hype.

I prefer honest usernames.

But it is difficult to get it right.

I think men often make the mistake of wanting to appeal to everyone when of course, you won't.
