Which chats do you prefer?

Do you prefer chats which are short and banter- like in nature, deep descriptive and intellectual, purely sexual or general boring chit chat about their boring day?

If you want to write an essay on what you would like to do to me or how your going to ‘’make the earth move ‘ then jog on … those who type it generally can’t produce the goods..not to say that there are ‘rare’ guys that can multitask..for me it’s like watching the grass grow

Happy copy and paste 😂

I prefer a bit of quick banter to begin with, you can usually tell by that whether someone has a good sense of humour. And if it is on the lines of something mentioned in your profile, you know they have read it. I don't mind then if they go onto their experiences on here and then a little about themselves and their availability.

I'm in general agreement with most of what Enigma/TBH/DG says ... especially that very off putting "what do you like in bed" when you haven't even met in person yet! 🙄

However, I don't mind a certain amount of "how are you finding the site" kind of chat.

Certainly prefer the quick wit and chit chat. Deep and meaningful chats are best held directly face to face when a proper conversation occurs.

The trust and Parry of a bit of witty repartee keeps one on one toes and keeps the mind focused

I’m with enigma and Becky!

I like a bit of fun or flirtatious banter to begin with … confidence and humour are much more likely to peak my interest than the awkward ‘hi, how are you?’ Or the very obvious copy and paste jobs! 🫣

Always serves you well to show you’ve read the profile first!

I like someone whose communication style matches mine. And funny. Someone who can make me smile. And I look for communication to be matched. I don’t want to feel inundated or like I’m waiting hours or days for a reply

I luuurve an essay. Letter writing style with plenty to pick apart and go through. Ridiculous stories, over exaggerated claims, minutiae of mundane occurrences. Lists of questions that need an answer, and taking a while to come up with some witty response

But banter seems a way to grab the attention…

What is really interesting from the few comments so far is it is all so dependent on the person. What I think people are really bad at is telling others what they do and don’t want. We presume and infer and expect them to read your mind which is just bloody hard with no signs other than text which can be interpreted so many ways. It is why in real life if it iakes more than two emails to explain something you talk.

Personally I like the banter, the fun, the flirting, the getting to know about the person too but trying to work that all out is hell, just a nightmare. If you are going to be intimate with someone I want to know a little about them and I cannot help the curiosity. Life overlaps, things are not so easily compartmentalised

This so reminds me of being a teenager with no idea what to say to the opposite sex and fumbling around and then crashing and burning. I am nearly 50 and it still seems to be happening. You would have though I had learnt !

I think good communication is key
