No, definitely not as per a similar thread.......it would then lead to being found out !!!

I can understand a lady having someone she could tell though, even if just for her own safety

I have a few guys I know who know I’m on here ( they most likely are on it themselves)

I don’t tell anyone close as I feel like that’s putting them under pressure to keep secrets that they shouldn’t have too

If you are travelling regularly to see your IE then it’s good to touch base with a friend you can rely on …you have to think about if you break down/have an accident /personal safety …how are you going to explain your whereabouts?
If you’re supposed to be working then you have the perfect excuse and you don’t need your ‘special ‘ friend ..

These are the reasons I won’t travel so far and as I have said in my previous post …the only person that knows little me 😁

Also being divorced I don't have the jeopardy that others do. But IE is an odd kind of twilight zone that people outside of IE don't fully understand.

So if anyone I know happens to see me out with someone we "met on an on line dating site" usually stops any further requests for information.

I do confide though in a couple of lovely ladies I met on here from a previous occassion (on line not IRL). Sometimes it's nice to chat to someone who is part of this world. Have a vent, ask them if you're misreading something, and let them do the same with you.

One of them I get along with so comfortably that we've both said on more than one occassion, if it were not for the distance we'd both save a lot of hassle searching on here and most likely get along with each other quite nicely as IE's:-)

It can cause you lots of problems you don't want

One female friend who a) understands I’m trapped in my marriage and b) keeps an eye on my location on her phone if I’m meeting someone new.

She is a saint and I love her dearly.

I think the only reason you would ever do this is if you enter into the adventure with a friend and therefore keep each other updated on how it is going. Other than that, I don't see how it is anything that you would talk about with friends at all.
