Novel?

Is it just me, or do you get bored of someone sending you a long essay for
a first message? I never bother to read it, cos gurantee probably bore you
to death in real life.
Not here to read a novel, make it nice simple and direct.

I agree, sum your profile up in a few words, or otherwise that first date will have a few uncomfortable silencesā€¦

@suebra is that just a crafty way of getting your inbox to light up?

Indeed, I wish there was a connection option for a quick hook-up lol
I get older reading the essays and constant to-and-fro of tedious messages.

Yeah feel like itā€™s just copied and pasted to every female with no thought or effort.

It depends on what your own conversational style is. I have received long VK's because their profile is long. But I don't expect to receive a long first message. The most important factor for me is that they've read my profile and commented on something within in.

Certainly not. It shows focus, attention to detail, effort and - hopefully - intelligence and education.

I suppose it all depends on what prompted that first message.
As a man I understand that most women will probably get bombarded with comments. I imagine they may lose the will to live if they have to read War & Peace.
I tend to be as short as possible in my comments. I will normally find something in a profile to reference or comment on. If not if the profile I'm replying to has a lot of words I'll reply with the same, if little is there to read I'll keep my reply short.

Can't say it bothers me whether I receive a vk, one liner or an essay. Initial contact is only to say hi I'm interested, have a look at my profile and let me know if you want to chat etc. Personally I send short messages to establish if they're still looking for someone and that I'm interested. I can't see any point in wasting people's time. May actually help if I upgrade rather than just looking at the moment šŸ˜‚
