Some people like marmite and some people don’t.. I think keep the message true to you.

For all those that like a long one there are probably as many who like a short one ( I’m talking about messages not anything else😂).

For me a first message should be maybe a paragraph long. Something about why you are interested in them and what you are looking for. Things that would put me off would be if a woman copied and pasted something or just done a one liner asking for photo password.

A basic copy of a long computer generated profile and no idea of geographical location? It’s just like sending out junk mail. I get it... but it’s a real turn off.

A guy can message me with a novel or just a simple good afternoon, but if he's not in the right location or too young then I will respond politely and wish him on his way.

The only time the lengthy messages bore me is when they re-use the same lines.

I was on here 6 months ago and some guys are still using the same lines almost word for word.

The carpet bomb approach does not work x

I agree. Essay first messages are generic and sent to many. When they do refer to you they are so obviously an add in sentence or two it is laughable. Just get to the point and be flirty thats why we are all here xx

For me being very Dyslexic but not stupid, people do not come back to me, if we where to meet you would see I am very good at taking and funny.

The art of written conversation does not come naturally to most.
Balance is required in all things. Overly verbose can be as revealing as a one line password request.
Their words are all we have to go on, so I make my decisions accordingly.

All that's needed is an indication of interest having read their profile and an invitation to message back if they like yours .

I do prefer a well thought out message and not just a quick..hey want to meet.
Even if I'm not interested still nice to chat at times and get some feedback about how others are getting on.

I am on here for the first time but sure everybody is different and what works for one may not for others.
