First date?

What's a good first date idea? It's yonks since I've last been to a restaurant. Work and Life is just SO busy.

Is a restaurant even what you really want to do on a first date anyway?

I went for a a little walk with my IE and then stopped for a drink at a pub, all within safe distance from hers and my circles. It worked for us!

Time is precious so I think you should agree to meet somewhere new - to explore it and start to build memories. Definitely no only haunts.
Also, food and drink is fine - but it can be hard to relax whilst trying to shell seafood - and no one wants to drink too much on a first date. After chatting online a while, how about thinking of something completely different - even if there isn't chemistry you still get a great time out - do something different and maximise your time!

First meetings should always be somewhere public and low key.
A cafe for tea or coffee and a sticky bun, or perhaps lunch, would be good and there is always the option of a walk if you feel confident.

I once sat for well over an hour listening to a date go on about himself. No coffee refill. And at the end of it, he complained about the price of the beverage.

He definitely wasn’t right for me 😊

If the OP's life is so busy how will they manage to make time for an affair?

Perhaps they could start identifying as a cat and have a quick shag round the bins! 🙀😾

I would suggest not doing anything too pricey. A coffee meet could give you the hour or so to judge weather the person is possibly right for you.

So with my ie we met at a local service station that also had a Starbucks. We chatted for a bit which confirmed our chemistry. We had the idea of that from online chats but you never really know. After that we quickly moved to more private meetings and the rest is history so they say

I just think a simple coffee meet for a first date to see if there's an attraction
