I think we all have a different idea of what average is! I'm curvy but you could equally say I'm averagely curvy lol....Average to me is slightly bigger build than slim build.

I put average as I really don't think any of the other options are me, tbh I don't really know what I am.
I'm not fat, I'm not thin, I'm not muscly. I've got some fattier bits and some musclier bits, I've got bits I wish were bigger and bits I wish were smaller. I've even got some bits that I think are just right.

I don't know what one word I could choose to describe my physique, "acceptable" maybe?

All the guys who say they are “larger” , I’m wondering how you have managed to assess so many others. An RCT needs a few hundred subjects to get a fair result . Given SD to .005.

Paula,

I realised that you were being ironic and my point was that nobody can see you on here hence why we have to describe ourselves and as I mentioned I don’t care about dress size for the same reason that has been mentioned many times it is no real indication of how you may look (even if they could make it consistent).

I agree that losing manners/self worth is an issue and frankly sites like this don’t help as people hide behind the keyboard and think it is OK to ghost and be rude - most social networking sites struggle with this because there is no fear of reprimand. SOmebody gets cancelled and they just create a new profile. There are no silver bullets and we have to work with what we have .

We can argue the toss about how it should be approached on a website because we can’t see the person ..my issue is if we continue to follow the ‘how to get yourself a man/woman ‘ website rules then this flows into our regular lives and so becomes the norm and before we know it we loose our manners and our self worth ..which is already happening.
Social media is influencing everything we do so why should we let it ruin our dating experience …self respect is worth fighting for 👍

I think the perfect size can be anything from a 10 to a 16. It depends on height, bum and boob size. A size 10 with a flat bum and bee sting boobs is not attractive. A 5fy 8 size 16 with nice curves is far sexier.

No -

Median is is the middle number of a set of numbers
Mode is the most common number (what you were describing below)
Mean is as described in the first note about this (Set is totalled then divided by the population)

IN terms of average - if you are not average, what are you thin and tall, short and fat, ripped, flabby - probably somewhere in the middle of all that - Dadbod - so you put average. Maybe they should use Dadbod as an option!

@Tarnished Knight - yes there are brands that have sizes for men - try Ted Baker.

Maybe belt size would help :)

@Paula Nobody in a pub would ask your dress size but on here nobody can see you - personally, I want a woman with curves, but I guess some people want to know before they ask for pics as they have preferences. It filters out more of those shallow people who ghost or block once they get a photo they don’t like, as they won’t ask in the first place.
