Staying the night

I have been seeing my IE for a few months now. He travels in to my city for work every few weeks and stays a few days. We often meet for a few hours in the evening but he has asked if I can stay overnight. I really want to but have not done this before. What excuses can I give to spend the night with my IE?

It wasn't a physical problem.

It was a mental health issue.

Is it in yet?

What was the issue?!

I did a weekend away with my IE. It was the beginning of the end of our relationship as a result.

The extended time together highlighted a single enormous incompatibility that had previously been hidden by the duration of daytime or evening meets.

Being together for 48hrs, it couldn't be suppressed for that period.

So think hard before making big changes.

Boomer sweetheart, do keep up! These are excuses. It just so happens that there are at least a dozen higher education establishments littered up the country between my home town and that of my current gentleman friend.

To be honest I’m enthralled by any gentleman suitably qualified to teach me something new…they are getting so much harder to find.

Have you got 'Hots for teacher"

Staying over is much easier when you've got a lifestyle/job that already has overnight stays. I've had that for a long time, so it draws a lot less suspicion. Just do what works best for you.

I have just got home wonderfully energised from a career development/training day/mid morning shag with my IE and announced I want to do another, career-related masters part time. That gives me 2 years of summer schools/meetings with a supervisor/compulsory f2f activities as I need them. Okay, I’ll have to do the ruddy masters but it’ll give me lots of excuses, too!

Boomer, they are all reasons I’ve legitimately not been at home overnight. None of them provoked hubby’s suspicions.

I would love an overnight with my IE but whilst I am away for work overnight often she is not. It means we cannot do that. If you do anything that is too much out of the norm it becomes suspicious. Hiding in plain sight is often the best but it does bring limitation to the relationship at time. Ah well c'est la vie. Your guy may want it but if you ant to keep it safe then he will not force it.

Are these all the excuses you have used in the past.

Seriously.though if I was in the OPs position it would be definite no unless this was a regular occurence for them. And I'm a man!
