Weight loss in relationships

My friend has lost a couple of stone on the Ozempic diet and now she's started flirting with other blokes and even asked if she should cheat on her husband of 14 years. Anyone else experience weight loss in a relationship that's made them suddenly stray?

This happens fairly often. I think it is because we are fat phobic and do alwaysnot see the person behind the weight. I lost weight a few years ago and I got such a boost that I became very flirtacious. It has hard work to keep fat off but well worth it!

A couple of years before I retired I weighed 18 stone and not only looked fat, but felt it in my knees, hips and back.
I cut back on the Hotel Breakfasts when working away from home and for a while totally cut out potatoes, bread and confectionary, getting my weight down to 16 stone by the time I retired.
Eventually got down to 14 stone which I'm managing to maintain and feel much better for it.

Ok I didn’t take ozempic. I did it by intermittent fasting. All my own discipline 😇

Ozempic is a drug to treat patients with type 2 diabetes and such is the demand for the ‘diet drug’ supplies are running out ….so remember you are taking the drugs away from people that really need it ..😕

Well done on the rather amazing achievement. Agree 💯 that we should always embark on change in ourselves because we want to do it for us, and not for anything/anybody else. Sustainability, not fad.

Keep going 👏🏼👏🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Ozempic isn't a diet, it's a drug... are these even real questions?

@paula99

So well put , the reasons people couple up in life are numerous and complex aren't they and 20 or more years later they feel very different

Can’t comment on the weight loss but a hard core workout always makes me feel 😈!!! And people quite often exercise to lose weight too…

Well done on your weight loss Gunther great achievement

Getfun…

I agree with your post for the most part …what ever issue it be ..weightloss….bereavement…work stress…etc etc the reason most of us are here is because we find it difficult communicate with our partners….married life does that to you because you have work/family/ mortgage.. these are your priorities…unfortunately sex goes on the back burner..some of us have been together for years and have morphed into a different people and as my dad would say ‘alot of water has gone under the bridge ‘..sometimes just getting counselling isn’t always the answer…most of us chose their partners for other reasons like stability/ family oriented/ provider so sexual compatibility didn’t even come in the top 5..
