Weight loss in relationships

My friend has lost a couple of stone on the Ozempic diet and now she's started flirting with other blokes and even asked if she should cheat on her husband of 14 years. Anyone else experience weight loss in a relationship that's made them suddenly stray?

I’ve lost a couple of stone. And now I have joined here as well. I’m not sure the two are related though. Positive things that have happened:
My clothes fit me better
I have more confidence
I can do more stuff easily
It’s great people noticing that I am looking like I have lost weight

Indirectly I guess there might have been a connection. I can’t remember exactly how I discovered IE.

But if I had the opportunity before I would have taken it. So I suppose for me it’s like I said before- be happy in yourself. If your weight is making you miserable then people will notice that you aren’t enjoying yourself as much as you could.

I think one thing is most important though is that we can only judge ourselves on our own weight or body shape. Politeness, decency and decorum should be used if you don’t find them attractive because of their shape. There is never an easy way to say it. So just don’t. Move on. Don’t expect someone else to change their body shape to suit you. Let them

It's concerning to hear that your friend's weight loss journey has led to thoughts of infidelity in her marriage. While weight loss can bring about changes in confidence and self-esteem, it's essential to remember that committing to a relationship involves more than just physical attraction.

It's crucial for individuals to communicate openly and honestly with their partners about any changes they may be experiencing, including shifts in feelings or desires. If your friend is feeling tempted to stray, it's essential for her to address these feelings with her husband and explore the underlying issues together.

Weight loss can certainly impact relationships, but it should ideally strengthen the bond between partners as they support each other through personal growth. Seeking guidance from a therapist or counselor can also be beneficial in navigating these challenging conversations and rebuilding trust in the relationship.

EO

She's a good example of a woman with curves in fairness, and she does do a lot of social media make-up free to show that hair and makeup add to the image but aren't at the soul of her.. she just makes her money like that.. Who gives a f**k what she weighs?

You cant really airbrush an arse, hips and thighs like hers, they are what they are. And she rocks 'em. She is a Queen :)

I'd believe that when I see a totally natural and untouched full length front/back/sides photos of her in her underwear with her real skin colour and no makeup! 🤣

Queen Bey is definitely perfect though EO 😂 (although that does remind me of her photo shoot post twins…)

Don't forget all these so called "perfect" celebrities' photos are so heavily filtered/photos hopped that we have no idea what their faces or bodies really look like! 🤷🏻‍♀️

R Deckard….

Clearly it has hit a nerve with you …haha

All the those stats and research makes dull reading…plus that psychological self help mumbo jumbo didn’t do anyone any good…good dose of reality and not being praised for doing something wrong or being too politically correct would do a much better job…😬

Ha ha Legs&Eyes I’ll join you with having a Beyoncé 🍑!!

But no way a man could tell that from a weight on my profile. He’d have to meet me- I don’t send ‘those’ sort of photos before meeting either!

(I’m not looking to meet anyone just discussing the topic)

R Deckard

Haven’t sat reading research papers on the subject as I actually use the apps and can assure you they don’t ask. Whatever Harvard et al are researching it’s my personal experiences with Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, eharmony, Elite and Match in the UK, that is relevant.

I also note that as a topic, this has clocked 4 pages of comments in 48 hours so it has clearly hit a nerve.
