Weight loss in relationships

My friend has lost a couple of stone on the Ozempic diet and now she's started flirting with other blokes and even asked if she should cheat on her husband of 14 years. Anyone else experience weight loss in a relationship that's made them suddenly stray?

I know AM asks although there is the option to enter “rather not say”. I agree that the truth will come out when a photo has been exchanged ( unless edited). Perhaps the ladies inboxes might have less junk mail if approximate weight was entered. On the flip side, who knows what potential guys could be missing out on by focussing on a “type “ rather than a personality first.

Agree with Becky Sharp ..

Some guy asking for my bra size…..reminds me of pre pubescent boys..!!

If we are going to boil IE down to stats and sizes then we will have zero interaction and no dates😖

So can just verify - I have just checked all 6 dating apps on my phone (as a single girl) - not one asks for Weight. No dating site has EVER asked for my weight??

So no clue where your academic research is from??

Enigma - dress size, stretch marks. Knew there was something I forgot to ask😄😄

In fact I don’t think I’ve ever had any rude questions about my body. Other than bra size but that question just makes me think of a teenage boy with a breaking voice asking it 😂. Instant ick!

I would laugh out loud if any guy messaged to ask how much I weigh 😂😂

My body type is obvious from photos/meeting in person. If a man needs more stats before deciding if he wants to go further… he would not be the man for me!! Same as if a man asked me that irl

I do not think I would be so crass to ask someone about their size/weight. If after password exchange I was not attracted to him - this could be a number of things, I would never ever insult someone, and for me I would make an excuse as to why I would not take things further.

I am here to have fun and find an attractive man, someone I have things in common with, he has to be the perfect guy as I think is the same for most of us on here we have a lot at risk and sorry I am not going to risk that on mediocre.

As already stated, I'm not personally offended at being asked as that tells me the kind of person he is. I don't lie about my age either ... it is as shown on my profile.

However, I'm too polite to ask a man what his height is or what size his penis is for example.

EO - men lie about their height, women about their weight. Both lie about age. That's what comes out of academic (believe it or not) statistical studies on online dating, based on sites where you are asked to provide both height and weight.
IE graciously circumvents the issue of weight and therefore body shape with its own creative and subjective definitions. Great. Except that then guys try to figure it out anyway. Ladies then complain that guys not only lie on height, but are also so insensitive as.to ask about dress size (still less insensitive than asking about weight). Down with the patriarchy etc etc.!

Why cant everyone list weight alongside age and height. Then ladies would subtract whatever inches they deem.appropriate from the guys' height, and guys would add 17 pounds to the ladies' weight (the statistical average understament for ladies), nobody gets asked about dress sizeand any more, and we recover the natural balance between lies.about height and lies about weight!

I've been asked a few times what my dress size is (even my bra size too) and needless to say, those chats died a death ... not that I'm massively offended by the question because those asking are clearly Richard Heads. 🙄

I will say this though:
- men lie about their height
- women lie about their size

🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
