School's Out...

I've been seeing someone on IE for the past 4 months. It's been going well but now the school holidays have started I feel like I should stop things. Has anyone got any advice on how to make time to see my IE while the kids are on hols?

Kids come first, we all know that but it's important to make time for people were enjoy spending time with. This school holiday is always a difficult one, whether on IE or otherwise...

Definitely let us know Nina!!

I have to agree with MLE it’s a little odd people assuming only women are affected by school holidays- even men go on holiday! And men with kids in their late 30s/early 40s are VERY limited often ime due to child care

As mentioned previously by some. It’s only six weeks. As a male I’d be totally aware that meetings might not be a possibility during school holidays, but still plenty that can be done to keep the excitement going. It doesn’t have to be physical all the time. Using one’s imagination is a great way to keep things alive

Paula-I didn’t say our spouses were coming too.

Becky-not yet, I’ll let you know how we get on!

Im sure if he knows you have school age children, he would expect a break during this time.
Can you say you’re meeting up with friends and have them looked after at any point?

It must be hard to try an juggle when you have younger children but I am sure that your IE will understand if things are not so frequent at this time.

Well I can honestly say I’m glad I’m in my 50’s.
I don’t have any children.
I have been lucky in the fact that most men, around the same age as myself, their children are grown up and living their own lives, are attending uni or are in the last years of secondary school, or most of the children have weekend/part time jobs.

However I can understand it can be an “issue” for some.
But it needn’t be 🤷🏼‍♀️.
Just keep on communicating with him/her.
If they are still interested in having an affair with you they will be more than willing to wait for you 🙂.

Ps… just don’t try or do anything stupid that could put your affair at risk.

So for me it depends what you are after. If a quick fling and move on then yes stop it. If however you think it is good and worth some effort, then over a longer period of time there can be natural periods of time when you cannot see each other.. with my ie we vary between seeing each other twice in a week to having month gaps for different reasons.the point being we try to see each other when we can but without taking too many risks.

We correspond during the days we are not together and as others suggest it just builds the anticipation of when you do meet. You both have normal lives and if you can’t fit this around what you have to do in the so called real world, it won’t work and you risk discovery. Again a good relationship and a decent partner will understand that.

I found the grass is not always greener and if you find something good it is worth efforts to make it work even with gaps and fitting around each others schedule and needs
