I don't actually want to 'date' at all, but hole up with the right person, in a bubble for two with the one I desire and who fascinates me. That's what I want. Hours and hours. Alternative duvet days. I want to not want anyone or anywhere but that intoxicating time with the person I crave.

This may all be true, but nobody needs IE to go out and meet new people. Go to the pub. Go to a sports event. Just get out and meet people... you don't need a dating website to do any of this...

Meeting new people and making new friends has always giving me a buzz. As my departed father used to say, borrowing a quote from Harper Lee (To Kill The Mockingbird). "You can choose your friends but you sho' can't choose your family, an' they're still kin to you no matter whether you acknowledge 'em or not, and it makes you look right silly when you don't."
