Firstly, I don’t like the word ‘cheat’. I prefer ‘the meeting of unmet needs’.
Secondly, I am confident that we cannot categorise based on whether one is male or female.
It is insulting to reduce us to the sum of our sexual organs as opposed to the complex human beings that we are.
We all choose to seek to have our unmet needs met, for various and personal reasons.

Not that we really want an affair out of nowhere but for my experience at the age of 45 i think i’m too young to be unhappy in bed…let’s all face it sex is part of a relationship…it’s part of keeping it lasting and more meaningful ageing process

Whilst there are both men and trust me some women on here who explicitly just want a quick nsa shag, there are others here who want more. Don’t underestimate than men on here also want to feel wanted and desired and like getting compliments and the same feeling that you suggest @sel_79. It may not be as explicit but for many of us men that is also what can be missing .

From a woman's perspective....we want to feel wanted. Even in the most loving relationship we can still feel something is missing. The feeling of being wanted rather than 'needed'.

Met a guy here and we had coffee and we got it off well and we had sex. However, I realised that there was no sexual connection. I don’t do one night stand and it distasteful but am I stupid or naive to say that have to take them out on a test run before I find a good connection?

This is my first time looking to cheat in my 24yr relationship,we've been together since i was 19 and her 24.The reason I'm on this site looking is there's no affection in our relationship from her not me.This all started about 4yrs back after I found out she was cheating on me for the second time with the same guy.It gets you down when your the one that goes to try and get a hug,kiss or sex from your partner,you start to feel like your being a pest.All I'm looking for is that one connection.

We're just like animals really. Men cheat cos they want sex and be the man or alpha. Women cheat cos they want feel special and be wanted. Like Venus and Mars 🤷‍♂️. After a while the roles are reversed, the man wants to be wanted and its the woman who calls the shots.

It is interesting. Now I have an IE we were talking about this. Both of our partners prefer now a more companionship style relationship and are really not very sexually motivated. Both of us wanted to still explore other things including the sexual side. Both our partners were very similar in their current needs and we are very similar form the physical point of view, although in other areas of life we are all satisfied. We did joke we should just swap but funnily enough we stopped short :)

Think woman cheat as the man they are with seem to forget the romance that was at the start of a relationship
