First date

When do you know it's time to suggest going for dinner on a first date? Or are first date drinks more appropriate? x

I guess if you've had some good conversation online and you think you have clicked then its worth arranging for a daytime coffee. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable doing more than that on a 1st date but if it goes really well and you have the time and freedom, you could move to the next level you feel comfortable with.

First date drinks .... If he turns up
I got stood up a few weeks ago
What an awful feeling
And get ghosted
Haha either I'm super ugly or doing something wrong
Online dating is brutal and my ego can't take much more !

Definitely a coffee or a quick drink. Dinner is way too long for a first meet, especially if it’s going badly.
Imagine being stuck with someone who you really have no spark with for a couple of hours. I’m happy to have a drink even if there’s no spark, as one thing this place has taught me there are so many different people out there with different stories, I find fascinating,..... but an hour is plenty

Depends on where you are ... obviously you wouldn't go to your local or a restaurant in the same village, etc but in a big city there are lots of options.

@Secretaccomplice

It might be, depending on who you have selected for your date.
